Savari is working with Tier-1 suppliers in the automotive industry to equip cars with Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) sensors and predictive and life-saving V2X applications.
Savari is also supporting Tier-1 suppliers in their vision to supply automotive OEMs with middleware and applications for autonomous and self-driving cars.
Examples of V2X applications built on top of Savari’s middleware include:
- V2V: Electronic Emergency Brake Light (EEBL), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Intersection Movement Assist (IMA), Lane Change Advisory (LCA), Left turn assist (LTA), Do Not Pass Warning (DNPW).
- V2I: Curve Speed Warning (CSW), Work Zone Warning (WZW) and in-vehicle SPaT (Signal Phase and Timing) visualization.
- V2P: Enables cars to identify pedestrian crossing street in unpredictable situations and alerts the driver through an application displayed either on a smartphone or on the In-Vehicle-Infotainment system.
Savari’s software stack is radio agnostic. It has been designed to fit any radio module from any vendor as long as the vendors are standards compliant. The IP that Savari has developed resides in the layers above the wireless communication layer, hence not tightly coupling in with a specific radio module. This allows our V2X stack to be adapted more easily to other technologies in the future such as LTE-V.
